Out here in the Midwest we don't have Ikea. I suspect that this is very important and goes a long way towards explaining the Midwest, but the question remains: is this the cause or the effect?

I think they're just haters. We'll get one! We just have to keep ordering stuff.

Instead of Ikea we have Nabraska Furniture Mart.
Nabraska Furniture Mart has a location near The Kansas City Speedway.
The Kansas City Speedway holds a Nascar race.
Days of Thunder is a movie about Nascar staring Tom Cruise.
Tom Cruise also stared in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon.
There for it's Kevin Bacon's fault the Midwest is the way that it is.

cause.

lunch at ikea is a very special thing, and i think the midwest could greatly benefit from some swedish meatballs served up in a furniture store. the lingonberry sauce might just turn things around for you folks. :)

Re: cause.

My mother's family is Swedish on the maternal side (I believe) so I've had excellent lingonberry sauce. Hell, ligonberries are pretty much always in my mother's fridge and I've got a bottle of Raspberry saft in my cabinet.

I've always felt that Ikea's meatballs sucked. The free coffee with an Ikea mug is a nice idea though, except for the fact that I hate coffee.
